Volunteering for us
Our next Volunteer Preparation Course starts on Tuesday 3rd October 2017 and runs for six Tuesdays (excluding half term). Contact us if you are interested in joining in.
There are several ways that you can help Home-Start Bracknell Forest in a voluntary capacity:
- by supporting a family as a home-visiting volunteer
- by becoming a trustee
- by helping us with fundraising
Home-Start Bracknell Forest’s family support volunteers come from many different backgrounds and vary in age but all are either parents themselves or have parenting experience. All volunteers attend a preparation course before being matched with a family. They then take their own individual skills and experience to the families they visit.
The Home-Start Bracknell Forest Board of Trustees is made up of local people from a wide range of backgrounds. The main requirements of a trustee are a real interest in the family support work we undertake and a willingness to be involved and active in the running of the charity. The committee ensures correct governance and is responsible for the financial security of the organisation.
If you can help us we would love to hear from you, please Contact Us.
