An Independent Charity
Home-Start Bracknell Forest is affiliated to Home-Start UK but is a registered Charity in its own right.
We receive no funds from Home-Start UK or from Central Government to provide our service. We are therefore entirely dependent upon the money we raise locally to be able to continue our work in supporting young families. We welcome support of all kinds, whether financial or ‘in-kind’ and are always happy to discuss ways in which you, or your organisation might be able to support us.
We have been very fortunate for a number of years in having the financial support of both Bracknell Forest Council and Bracknell and Ascot CCG which help to fund our core costs of salaries, rent and office costs. However, we still have a significant shortfall in our overall running costs, which has to be raised through other means such as donations, grants and fundraising events. Our Board of Trustees is also supported by a small number of individuals and organisations who act as advisors to the charity, allowing us to benefit from their expertise. This supports the scheme in continuing to deliver our work to a high standard. We always welcome enquiries from those who feel they have a particular skill to offer.
In the past year we have received grants and donations from:
- Bracknell Forest Borough Council
- Bracknell and Ascot CCG
- Binfield Parish Council
- Bracknell Town Council
- Crowthorne Parish Council
- Sandhurst Town Council
- Warfield Parish Counci
- Winkfield Parish Council
- Bracknell Forest Homes
- Shanly Foundation
- Peter and Teresa Harris Charitable Trust
- Army Central Fund
This is in addition to many generous individual donations and sponsorship received.
Corporate donors include:
Staff at GE Energy, Diageo, International Copiers, Eizo, Amazon Filters, Lloyd’s Register, Nationwide Building Society, Co-operative Group, Southern Co-operative, Staff at Orion Electrotech, TDK UK Ltd and Waitrose Ltd.
We also enjoy regular support from Bracknell Foodbank, Wokingham Foodbank. Involve and local faith groups including All Saints Church Ascot, Crowthorne Baptist Church, Easthampstead Baptist Church, Kerith Church and St Paul’s United Reform Church.
A BIG THANK YOU
