BRACKNELL HALF MARATHON

JuliePizzeySunday 10th May is the date of Bracknell Half Marathon when we will have our first runner. Julie Pizzey our new Administrator and who is a ‘veteran’ of running, has kindly offered to enter the Bracknell event for us. Please support her (and Home-Start Bracknell Forest) either by sponsoring her using the link below or by turning out on the day to cheer her on!

You can support Julie Here at Local Giving.

CHRISTMAS PARTY 2014

According to feedback we received, this was probably one of our best Christmas parties and thanks to everyone who contributed on the day. Father Christmas was there to see all the children and the entertainment by Jo Jingles was fun for everyone. Next year’s party will be Friday 18th December.

QUEENS AWARD FOR VOLUNTARY SERVICE

Queens Award for VolunteeringHome-Start Bracknell Forest was delighted to have been nominated for this prestigious award ( the equivalent of an MBE for voluntary groups) and attended an awards ceremony for Berkshire nominees in April. We were not lucky enough to receive the award this time but are very proud to be held in such high regard locally.

FAMILY GROUP

Our successful Family Group has been so busy that we opened an additional room for the summer term. With many older children moving on to school or nursery in the autumn numbers will be lower but we have the option to ‘expand’ again should we need to. The Family Group is offered as an additional resource for families already being supported by us.
